Live Search functionality

"For those of you who use some of the advanced query syntax in our search
engine such as link:, linkdomain: and inurl:, you may have noticed that
this functionality has been recently turned off. We have been seeing
broad use of these features by legitimate users but unfortunately also
what appears to be mass automated usage for data mining. So for now, we
have made the tough call to block all queries with these operators."

Yahoo! Mail API

Yahoo! is set to release software that will allow third-party developers to write applications using Yahoo! Mail.

The
move to open up the application programming interfaces (APIs) to Yahoo!
Mail is meant to encourage web developers to build applications that
use the mail service. The company expects these third-party 'mash-ups', hybrid software that combines content from more than one source, will bring in more customers.

"Yahoo! will begin offering unlimited storage for its free web-based
email in May. The move makes it the first of the major free email
providers to offer unlimited storage but, in all likelihood, it will
not be the last."

Photoshop CS3

Adobe is set to launch it's souped up version of Photoshop next month. We will certainly be interested in how it goes.  Although we are somewhat frequent Photoshop users, we won't be running out to make any new purchases.

For those who are in need of a good quality graphics program that doesn't cost an arm and a leg, Gimp is a suitable alternative, and the cost is just right:  Free!

Blogger.com ( Google ) is one of the most visited blog sites. Due to
its popularity, hackers have started to embed malicious scripts on some
blogs. These scripts have shown up on hundreds of Blogger.com sites. In
some cases, a variant of the Stration mass mailer is responsible for
directing traffic to the Blogger.com sites.
